Nicandra parka pattern as PDF download

Nicandra is a year-round parka pattern that can be sewn as a jacket, knee-length parka or long parka.Unlined it is a light summer parka, with a thin lining it is suitable for spring and fall.

The sleeve cuffs with thumb hole included in the pattern and a warm lining make Nicandra suitable for winter.The roomy, detachable hood can be easily and quickly reduced with the velcro insert, if desired, so that it does not fall too deep into the face.

The sleeve hem can also be adjusted with velcro.
Convenient welt pockets and an optional zippered chest pocket provide plenty of room for those on-the-go essentials.

Drawstrings at the waist and bottom hem give Nicandra a great shape, and a slit in the center back is both a functional and chic detail.

Material recommendation:
Generally, all non-stretch fabrics are conceivable, such as canvas, half-panama or poplin, softshell is particularly suitable, jeans and corduroy are recommended, Oilskin was found by my sample seamstresses for particularly good, but even thick sweat was already used and has proven itself.

If sewn with lining, a different size should be selected depending on the thickness of the lining!

About the difficulty level:

Schwierig zu nähen ist Nicandra für geübte Näherinnen nicht, es erfordert aber einiges an Geduld, da die Verarbeitung der vielen Teile doch recht zeitaufwändig ist.
