Description
Pelin is a pattern for a figure-flattering , airy summer shirt, top or dress that can be sewn in an infinite number of variations. The sophisticated cutout and the double look are eye-catchers.
There is a tight and a loose, ruffled version that can be sewn individually or combined together to create a great layered look.
If transparent blouse fabric is used, a tight shirt underneath, perhaps in cropped length, can prevent unwanted glimpses, while still allowing enough air to reach the skin.
If you want it to be more subtle, sew the shirt underneath the same length or longer than the transparent part.
With short sleeves, you can choose between a smooth, tight style or a wide, ruffled style, both of which show off the shoulders with cutouts. Of course, you can also go sleeveless!
You can play wonderfully with the different lengths such as:
- the cropped length,
- the shirt length,
- the tunic length
- and the dress length
Suitable materials include:
For the tight undershirt, use elastic fabrics such as jersey or French terry; for the loose top, use transparent or normal, softly falling woven fabric, possibly also jersey.
