Nicandra is a parka cut that can be worn all year round and is suitable as a jacket, knee-length parka or long parka. The unlined version serves as a light summer parka, while with a thin lining it is ideal for spring and autumn.
The sleeve cuffs with thumb holes and a warm lining included in the pattern make Nicandra suitable for winter.
The spacious, removable hood can be easily and quickly made smaller using the Velcro insert if desired, so that it does not fall too far over the face.
The sleeve hem can also be adjusted with Velcro.
Comfortable hand pockets and an optional zipped chest pocket offer plenty of space for the things you need on the go.
Drawstrings at the waist and bottom hem give Nicandra a great shape, and a slit in the center back is both a functional and chic detail.
My material suggestion :
In general, all non-stretch fabrics are possible, such as canvas, half-panama or poplin, softshell is particularly suitable, jeans and corduroy are recommended, oilskin was found to be particularly good by my test sewers, but even thick sweat has been used and has proven itself.
If you are sewing with lining, you should choose a different size depending on the thickness of the lining!

Where can I find my download?

Why is my eBook not yet available for download?
You will usually receive a purchase confirmation within a few minutes. Sometimes it can take a little longer due to high server load. Also check your SPAM folder, as emails occasionally end up there.

❓The QR code is not working
Some older paper sewing patterns may have a QR code that leads to an "Oops, something went wrong" page.
This is due to the shop relocation in 2024 , during which the old QR codes could not be transferred.
Don't worry: Under the article description for each pattern you will find the point "Look at the instructions" - all instructions are stored there.
