Alcea is a piece that is as original, chic as it is easy and quick to sew, somewhere between a garment and an accessory. An asymmetrical/one-sided waistcoat that, like a belt, can complete straight-cut dresses, spice them up and bring them to the waist, and is also quite practical thanks to the built-in pocket. It also "incidentally" warms the kidneys, which is not to be scoffed at, and conceals the stomach area wonderfully! A reversible version would be interesting and even more versatile.
Material recommendation:
Any elastic or somewhat firmer material, from
woolen whale to jeans to leather, the cut is
especially suitable for scraps and mixing experiments!
About the level of difficulty:
as a single-layer vest it is suitable for beginners, if the vest is lined or sewn as a reversible vest some sewing experience is required.
